DUPAGE COUNTY-The DuPage County Health Department reminds residents during National Volunteer Week (April 15-21) that the Health Department has many volunteer opportunities for anyone who would like to give back to the community.
Volunteer opportunities offered at the Health Department not only benefit those we serve, but volunteers will also find some benefits for themselves, such as acquiring a new skill or meeting new people.
Currently, there are opportunities to volunteer in Behavioral Health Services, Medical Reserve Corps, Community Health Services and Environmental Health Services.

  • Volunteers must meet the following requirements: You must be at least 18 and a high school graduate. If under 18, you will need parental consent
  • Pass a background check
  • Provide two references
  • Submit the completed application form
  • Depending on your placement, be able to make a six-month commitment and serve two to four hours weekly
  • Complete a screening interview and training
