Health Department and Good Samaritan Hospital Partner to Offer Prenatal Clinic in Westmont

DUPAGE COUNTY-The Health Department and Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital have united to provide a prenatal clinic in one, convenient location starting Tuesday, April 3, 2018.

The "Great Beginnings Prenatal Clinic" is available by appointment on Tuesdays and Fridays at the DuPage County Health Department's Southeast Public Health Center, 422 N. Cass Avenue, Westmont.

"This is a natural extension of the Women, Infants, Children (WIC) services offered at our Westmont Center," said Karen Ayala, health department executive director. "The integrated-care partnership with Good Samaritan Hospital is a wonderful opportunity to provide vital services to a vulnerable population." 

The "Great Beginnings" program offers:      
· Obstetrics (OB) Examinations
· Health Insurance Enrollment
· Women, Infants, Children (WIC) Program (nutrition and food benefits)
· Family Case Management
· Breastfeeding Support
· Prenatal Classes
· High-risk Referrals

Appointments are available to residents currently receiving services at the DuPage County Health Department on Tuesdays, 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. and Fridays, 12:00 to 4:00 p.m.
