Seventh Annual Teen PhilanthroParty: A Party with a Purpose

DuPage County— The DuPage County Prevention Leadership Team (PLT) and Reality Illinois Teen Advisory Board will be hosting the seventh annual Teen PhilanthroParty. The Teen PhilanthroParty is by definition, a party with a purpose. It is an opportunity for high school-aged teens from all over DuPage County to get together and meet like-minded peers who want to make a difference in their community.

This event aims to provide teens with leadership and advocacy skills to instill confidence. Teens have a voice and the power to make lasting changes in their communities. This year’s theme is “Become an Overcomer.” Teens will hear from Brittany Richmond, an energetic, charismatic communicator, and a mental health expert of over 10 years. Brittany uses her own battle with mental health to inspire students, but most importantly, let them know that they are not alone; and that there is help and hope.

  • Date: June 6, 2023
  • Time: 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.
  •  Location: College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn.

Registration is FREE but REQUIRED! Teens can register for the Teen PhilanthroParty here. There will be raffle prizes!

The DuPage County Prevention Leadership Team is a countywide community coalition working to increase mental health awareness, promote access to 988 and Crisis Text Line resources, and reduce substance use and addiction among DuPage County youth.
