New COVID-19 Testing Site to Open at the DuPage County Fairgrounds

COVID-19 News

DuPage County— DuPage County Health Department (DCHD) is announcing the opening of an additional COVID-19 testing site. DCHD is partnering with Curative to open a COVID-19 testing site located at the DuPage County Fairgrounds (2015 Manchester Road) in Wheaton Illinois.

The testing site will open on Tuesday, March 1. The site will be operational Sunday 8am-1pm (closed the first Sunday of every month) and Monday-Friday 8am-4pm. Book in advance at curative.com

Testing still plays a critical role in slowing the spread of COVID-19. Individuals are encouraged to get tested for the following reasons

  • If you have COVID-19 symptoms
  • At least 5 days after known or suspected close contact to COVID-19
  • For screening (schools, workplaces, congregate settings, etc.)
  • Before and after travel
  • When asked by a healthcare professional or public health official

Individuals of any age can be tested, and no appointment, doctor referral, or insurance is required. The test will be a self-collected, shallow nasal PCR test. Test results will be available within 1-2 days after the lab receives the sample.

We continue to remind all of our eligible residents to get their COVID-19 vaccination and booster shot as eligible, stay home if they are feeling ill, and wear a mask based on personal preference, informed by personal level of risk and based on the community level where you live.  More information on COVID-19 prevention is available at www.dupagehealth.org/covid19
