FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Daily Herald Business Ledger will honor 19 suburban executives during the 2020 “C-Suite” Awards virtual reception on Thursday, July 23. The honorees will be profiled in the August 17 issue of the Business Ledger.
Among those being recognized is Karen Ayala, who has served as Executive Director of the DuPage County Health Department since 2014, and oversees a staff of approximately 600.
“The list of nominees and their contributions is incredible. I’m humbled to be among those considered for this award,” Ayala said.
The mission of the C-Suite Awards is to honor executives who contribute to the success of our region’s economic growth and stability, as well as the leadership, business and civic contributions they have made to their organizations and to the suburban Chicago community.
Candidates for the C-Suite Awards are executives responsible for the top management of an operating department in their company or organization. The individual may not carry the title of chief (department) officer but carries the responsibilities of that office. Candidates must work in the suburban Chicago region that includes DuPage County, Fox Valley, suburban Cook County, Lake County and Will County.
Consideration is given to the executive’s contributions to their organization’s overall growth, commitment to good ethics, effective reporting and involvement in the community. The categories include executives representing for profit, non-profit, government and educational organizations. Executive accomplishments will vary, and each are considered on their merit.
