In DuPage County since yesterday, there are 71 additional confirmed cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and one death, a male in his 60s with no underlying conditions. He had been living in the community. Among DuPage County residents, there are now 275 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 7 deaths. To date, these deaths have occurred among patients older than 60 years of age.
The number of COVID-19 cases and deaths being reported continues to rise, in part, due to the increase in testing by commercial and hospital laboratories, as well as the spread of the virus in the community.
Across Illinois, the age of cases ranges from younger than one to 99 years. The number of cases in DuPage County as well as the most up-to-date information can be found on the DCHD website, www.dupagehealth.org/covid19.
