The 988 Lifeline is a national service with a network of local crisis centers that provides free and confidential emotional support to people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress. Anyone in the United States can call, text, or chat the 988 Lifeline 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to receive immediate professional help. The 988 Lifeline is a high-quality service that has helped many Americans during moments of crisis and has helped people connect with mental health services in their area.
