Adult Outpatient Groups

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, groups may be offered both virtually (Zoom) and in-person. To register for any of these groups, please speak to your therapist/primary. Groups are for active clients receiving treatment at the health department.

Coping & Recovery During COVID-19

The COVID-19 pandemic has increased anxiety and worry in everyone. Our group was developed to help clients identify safe and creative ways to cope. Each session looks at ways to stay inspired, identify resources in the community that can support ongoing recovery, and how to overcome challenges.

Nutrition and Exercise for Wellness & Recover Group (NEW-R)

Our NEW-R group aims to link mental and physical health well-being. Join our group to learn strategies for leading a healthy lifestyle while receiving encouragement along the way. Topics include understanding food labels, portion control, healthy cooking, and increasing physical activity.

Seeking Safety

Many people who use substances have had a trauma during their lifetime. "Trauma" means that a person has suffered a life event such as physical abuse, emotional abuse, or community violence. Our Seeking Safety groups focus on both trauma and substance use to promote the most successful recovery possible.

Managing Chronic Pain/Illness

Chronic pain can have real effects on your day-to-day life and your mental health. Our group was created to provide strategies to manage chronic pain and create an opportunity to connect with others for support. The aim of the group is to help people gain new perspectives and skills to try.
