Better Birth Outcomes
Better Birth Outcomes (BBO)/Great Start is a program that provides high-risk pregnant women health education, and linkage to prenatal and specialty doctors. We can provide referrals for prenatal classes, parenting classes, and other resources in the community. Pregnant women can participate in the BBO program by meeting high-risk eligibility requirements. The goal of the program is to have a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby.

Family Case Management
Family Case Management (FCM) is a free program that serves low-income pregnant women and infants up to age one (1) who live in DuPage County. The program provides guidance and education for a healthy pregnancy, and healthy infant through both clinic and home visits.

Great Beginnings
DuPage County Health Department has partnered with Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital to provide prenatal care at the Lombard and Westmont Public Health Centers. The Great Beginnings Clinic will provide expecting Mothers with prenatal care and referrals to specialists for high-risk pregnancies.

HealthWorks
HealthWorks of Illinois is a collaborative effort between the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) and the Illinois Department of Human Services (DHS) to provide comprehensive medical case management services for children in the custody of DCFS.

Healthy Families DuPage™
Healthy Families is an accredited and nationally recognized home visiting program designed to support families with young children. The program provides comprehensive home visiting services to families expecting their first baby or with a child under 3 months of age. Healthy Families is free and voluntary.

High Risk Infant Follow-Up
The High Risk Infant Follow-Up/Adverse Pregnancy Outcome Reporting System (APORS) program is for infants born with high-risk factors such as prematurity, small size for gestational age and birth defects. Infants who meet the eligibility guidelines are referred by the hospital when the infant is discharged home. Public Health Nurses can work with the families for the first two years of life; there is no income eligibility for participation, and the program is free.

Women, Infants and Children (WIC)
The Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Program provides nutrition education, breastfeeding support, community referrals and vouchers for nutritious supplemental foods at no cost to eligible pregnant, postpartum, or breastfeeding women, infants and children living in DuPage County.
