The School Health Program provides consultation and education to schools, preschools, daycares, parents, and related professionals, in the areas of disease prevention and health promotion.
Immunizations are offered at the Wheaton, Westmont, and Lombard Offices. Childhood immunizations are available for all children who do not have insurance, who have insurance that does not cover immunizations, or who are covered by Medicaid through the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program.
Identifying vision and hearing deficiencies at an early age will lessen the likelihood these deficiencies will turn into learning disorders and behavioral problems and serves as the goal for this program. Vision and hearing conservation education is provided to parents, school staff and the community.
