Immunizations

Childhood and immunizations are offered at the Wheaton, Westmont, and Lombard Offices.

Childhood immunizations are available through the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program for all children who do not have insurance, with insurance that does not cover immunizations, or children who are Medicaid eligible.

Children whose health insurance covers the cost of vaccinations are not eligible for VFC vaccines, even when a claim for the cost of the vaccine and its administration would be denied for payment by the insurance carrier because the plan’s deductible had not been met.

Questions about the availability of specific childhood vaccines or clinic schedules should be directed to the DuPage County Health Department at 630-682-7400, because clinic times, vaccine availability, and supplies may vary.

Vaccines for Children Program

If you are looking for a provider who offers vaccines through the Vaccines for Children Program, please visit the VFC Provider Search.

Many providers also offer physical exams and may require that your child become a regular patient in order to receive VFC vaccines from them. Please call the provider directly to determine if your child is eligible to receive the VFC vaccines at their location.
