Mold is a microscopic fungus that lives on plant or animal matter and produces large amounts of spores. These spores can be in the air we breathe, in the water we drink, or in matter carried by insects. The following indoor factors encourage mold growth:

  • Dampness
  • High humidity levels
  • Poor ventilation
  • Temperature
