Residential Services

The DuPage County Health Department's Residential Services assist adults living with severe mental illness to live as independently as possible in their community. A wide array of services are offered in the residential setting, which are based on the individual's level of need. Programs support the individual in achieving the highest quality of life while promoting living in the least restrictive environment.

Supports Provided

Clinical services are tailored to meet the individual's needs and include support with:

  • Budgeting
  • Housekeeping
  • Linkage to community resources
  • Linking to events and groups that support connection and engagement in the community
  • Managing personal appointments
  • Medication management
  • Personal care
  • Psychiatric management
  • Support of whole health and wellness

Residential Environments and Services

Residential environments include transitional group homes, long-term group homes and apartment programs. Residential services are available to individuals who are receiving mental health services through the DuPage County Health Department and have been assessed by a licensed clinician to benefit from this level of service.
