Quality information on the Internet.
- Look for the qualifications of the people publishing the site. Are credentials listed that convey the level of experience expected? Are sources listed?
- Can you trust the source of the data? Is it from a reputable organization? Are they linked to government authorities, universities, and medical institutions?
- Is the information provided up-to-date? Most responsible sites will indicate the date the site was originated and the last revision made.
- Be aware of bias. Some sites are designed to provide information, others are businesses selling products or services. Is there a sales pitch? Be careful if the motive of
the web-site is to sell a product or service.
- A good web-site will be easy to use and to understand.
