DENTAL HEALTH ACTIVITY
TOOTH STUFFED PILLOW

Material Needed for Project

  • white felt for tooth and arms
Colored felt for features (buttons optional)
    Stuffing Material (batting, cottonballs,dried beans,material)

  • Glue

  • Scissors

  • Hole Punch

  • Tape

  • Yarn

  1. Cut two large, matching tooth shapes from white felt
  2. Cut features and arms from felt (buttons can be used for eyes). Glue the features to one tooth shape and the arms to the underside of it.
  3. Position one tooth shape on top of the other. Use a hole punch or scissors to carefully cut holes at even distances around the shapes, about one-third of an inch in from the edges.
  4. To sew the tooth shapes together, tightly wrap tape around the end of a long piece of yarn (to make it like the end of a shoelace). Lace the yarn through the holes around the sides and bottom of the shapes, leaving the top open.
  5. Stuff the pillow with batting, cottonballs, or other stuffing material. Push the stuffing down into the tooth "roots," but do not overstuff the pillow.
  6. Finish sewing the top of the pillow. Knot together the ends of the yarn.
