To Keep The Teeth Healthy:
- Gently clean the teeth and gums daily to remove decay producing germs.
- Eat a balanced diet daily, limiting the frequency of sugary snacks. Brush
the teeth as soon as possible after eating a sweet snack. Rinse the mouth
with water when brushing is not possible.
- Visit the dentist on a regular basis.
- Brushing with a fluoride toothpaste, receiving fluoride treatments from
the dentist and drinking fluoridated water will make teeth stronger.
Activities
1. Teach the Toothbrushing Song to the children.
2. Have children make a poster depicting ways to prevent dental disease.
