In DuPage County coronary heart disease is the:
#1 cause of death
cause of 46% of all deaths 
leading cause of years of potential life lost
#1 cause of hospitalizations 

IN DU PAGE COUNTY DURING THE PAST 12 MONTHS

124,433 (22.8%) adults had high cholesterol
126,433 (19.2%) adults and 3,933 (4.6%) children smoked
564,998 (85.8%) adults and 104,877 (54.4%) children eat less than 5 fruits 
and vegetables per day
302,913 (46.0%) adults and 18,723 (8.0%) children were overweight
67,168 (10.2%) adults and 16,387 (8.5%) children ate fast food >3 times per week
92,478 (14.1%) adults had high blood pressure
