DuPage County Health Department sponsors parenting class that
features positive discipline
The DuPage County Health Department is sponsoring a five-week
parenting class that teaches specific skills and highlights positive
discipline methods.
This class targets parents of children ages five through 12. Parents
will learn parenting approaches that help children develop self-esteem,
respect, self-discipline and cooperation.
The class begins June 7 and will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
on five Wednesdays at the Central Office of the DuPage County Health
Department, 111 N. County Farm Road, Wheaton.
Call (630) 682-7979, ext. 7607 to register. The cost is $25 and no
charge for spouses/partners. Kathy Gere is the facilitator.
Topics to be covered include swearing, sibling rivalry, bedtime
hassles, temper tantrums, fighting, schoolwork, lack of motivation and
lack of cooperation.
