DuPage County Health Department offers
Immunizations for university students

The DuPage County Health Department offers immunizations for DuPage County residents who are attending colleges and universities this fall.

The following are available:

  • Menactra for meningitis

  • MMR for measles, mumps and rubella

  • Td for tetanus and diphtheria

  • Tuberculosis screening test

These immunizations are available during walk-in immunization clinics at the Health Department’s four Public Health Centers in Addison, Westmont, Lombard and Wheaton. These immunizations are not necessarily required since some students may have already had them or the immunizations may not be required for college.

Most Health Department immunizations are available for $10 through the State of Illinois Vaccines for Children Plus Program. VFC vaccine is available for those 18 and younger who are on Medicaid, do not have health insurance, are Native American or Alaskan Native or who have health insurance that does not pay for vaccines. Menactra is available for $125 for persons not eligible for the VFC Plus Program.

Residents with questions about immunizations, eligibility or clinic hours should call their nearest Public Health Center:

  • North Public Health Center in Addison at (630) 620-3325.

  • Southeast Public Health Center in Westmont at (630) 969-7030.

  • East Public Health Center in Lombard at (630) 620-3350.

  • West Public Health Center in Wheaton at (630) 682-7560.
