DuPage Safe Food has been developed as a safe food resource to the community and the food industry.
The effects of foodborne illness can be devasting. The DuPage County Health Department is committed to reducing the instances of foodborne illness by eliminating the factors that cause these illnesses. Other than inspectional services, the education of food industry personnel can greatly impact the safety of the food. Tools and resources for the food industry can be found in the Industry Pages of this site.
The same food safety knowledge needed by the industry is needed in the home as well. Many of the foodborne illnesses that occur each year are due to improper food handling in the home kitchen. The Consumer Pages of this site will include resources to aid in protecting your family and yourself from the effects of foodborne illness.
