Environmental Hazards

Mold

Mold is a microscopic fungus that lives on plant or animal matter and produces large amounts of spores. These spores can be in the air we breathe, in the water we drink or carried by insects. High humidity levels, temperature, dampness, and poor ventilation are indoor factors that encourage mold growth. For more mold information see the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Web site.
