WNV Mosquito Trap Surveillance Map

WNV is a regional problem and once it is detected within the County all residents are strongly encouraged to follow personal protection and mosquito breeding reduction recommendations (Personal Protection Against Mosquitoes, West Nile Virus Brochure). If you live in an area where we have not found WNV in mosquitoes this does not mean you are without risk.

The DuPage County Health Department begins Mosquito trap surveillance in April or May of each year. The results of our testing are shared with local mosquito abatement programs. The Clarke Mosquito Hotline at 1-800-942-2555 can answer most questions regarding mosquito control. Please review the information on our Web site or contact us at (630) 682-7400 if you have other questions.
