The Illinois Department of Public Health has released the FY2015 In-Person Counselor Grant Program Request for Applications (RFA).  There are some key changes in this year’s RFA.

  • All In-Person Counselors will be dedicated to performing enrollment and outreach functions on a full-time basis.  Therefore IPCs cannot be part-time, and they must be dedicated 100% to this grant.
  • Project period is August 1, 2014 – April 15, 2015. (The project period for sub-grantees is pending IDPH approval of DCHD application and a competitive application process for sub-grantees, and is expected to begin in October.)
  • IPCs must be available to work evening and weekend hours.

DuPage County Health Department will be submitting a year two grant application on July 31 as a lead agency.  The second year of funding will require that all IPC’s are full-time staff, dedicated to this project, for the grant period. If we are awarded funds under this grant program, we anticipate using a competitive application process, as we did last year, to award sub-grants in September 2014.

If you are interested in participating as a sub-grantee in this next round of funding, please complete and return a signed copy of the non-binding partnership agreement by Wednesday, July 23, 2014 to

If you do not intend to apply as a sub-grantee, but you would be interested in hosting an Enroll DuPage IPC at your site to offer enrollment assistance to your clients/the public, please let us know by contacting .
