The goal of Adult Services is to preserve and promote the emotional well-being of DuPage County residents who have severe mental illness or are mentally ill and substance abusing. A variety of programs are offered to those individuals who have experienced serious psychiatric illnesses and are attempting to live independently in the community. Clients receive an array of services that may include:

RECOVERY

  • Educational classes
  • Group, individual and family counseling
  • Psychiatric and psychological evaluation
  • Medication management
  • Case management and Intensive Case Management
  • Services such as home visits and assistance with benefits
  • Aftercare Planning
  • Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Community based intensive case management which enables clients to live as independently as possible in the community, provides alternatives to psychiatric hospitalization and reaches out to the homeless mentally ill
  • Probation Case Management
  • MICAP

VOCATIONAL

  • Preparing individuals with psychiatric illnesses for employment

RESIDENTIAL

  • Providing a wide range of housing assistance, including supervised apartments and group homes
