Tobacco

Smoking harms nearly every organ of the body, causing many diseases that affect the overall health of smokers. The negative effects of tobacco are well known. However many people still choose to smoke and many young people continue to start smoking every year. Though huge strides have been taken to reduce the number of young people who start smoking and while the state has banned smoking indoors in Illinois, there is still much to be done.

Quitting smoking has immediate, as well as long term, health benefits. Though quitting can seem like a long road and an impossible feat to many, quitting is possible and help is available.
