You are invited to join FORWARD and its coalition partners from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Nov. 20 at the Danada House in Wheaton for an inspiring meeting and strategy session to help plan future efforts.

The meeting will feature a presentation by Monte Roulier, national healthy communities expert, on models that are creating healthier people and healthier places. Attendees will also learn about the latest data available on DuPage County obesity rates and help identify future strategies to build and maintain momentum in all municipalities in DuPage County.

The FORWARD Coalition meeting is free and intended for anyone interested in engaging in local community wellness including community members, parents, school personnel, business leaders, and the faith community.  Registration is at 7:30 a.m. with the meeting beginning at 8 a.m.  A healthy breakfast will be provided.  Online registration and details available at www.forwarddupage.org.

Roulier is co-founder and president of Community Initiatives, a network of professionals and partner organizations dedicated to building healthy and whole communities through collaborative approaches that have a strong emphasis on shaping the policies and the environments that lead to healthier people and places, including bike-able and walk-able communities, vibrant local economies, and sustainable food systems.
