Public Safety Preparedness Task Force Formed

The situation regarding Ebola cases being reported in the United States has resulted in the formation of a Public Safety Preparedness Task Force in DuPage County to facilitate information sharing, coordinate public messages, assess readiness and collaboration to address gaps related to the possibility of Ebola cases being reported in DuPage County.  

Task Force Mission:


"Protect our community; protect our first responders"


Task Force Membership

Since this is a public health event, the DuPage County Health Department will serve as the lead agency. Other initial members of the Task Force include representatives from the DuPage County Police Chiefs Association, the DuPage County Fire Chiefs Association, the DuPage County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, 911 Center and representation from a DuPage County hospital emergency medical services provider.
 



Watch for Updates

The Task Force began meeting daily on Monday, Oct. 20, 2014, at the Health Department, 111 N. County Farm Road, Wheaton, IL. The Task Force will maintain situational awareness and assess potential impact on DuPage County with a focus on the needs of first responders and their protection
